Valais Finals at Veysonnaz

Description

Competitive sports are a school of life. Skiing allows children to flourish in the mountains, face sometimes extreme weather conditions, and handle a certain pressure at the start of races, where they are quite alone at the starting gate. Participants train during the season with regional groups, for example for the local youth in the Giron of Thyon-Veysonnaz. Winter is punctuated by a few races where children can compete among the surrounding groups, such as Nendaz, Val d'Hérens, etc... Veysonnaz is proud to host the Valais final at the end of the season on the Cheminée slope and the Ours slope. This highly anticipated final is the highlight of the season. The race is not ordinary; it combines different disciplines in several events spread along the two slopes, with technical exercises as a bonus. All young competitors from the Canton compete for the only time this winter. Imagine the enthusiasm and motivation such an event can inspire in a young skier. Besides the purely competitive aspect, this day is also festive with various activities for parents and children. Canteens are set up at the end of the Ours slope. The end of the season is celebrated with dignity in Veysonnaz!
