Description
Reading by Patrizia Lo Turco from «Femicide of Agata» accompanied and musically supported by Anina&Larissa with women's songs from around the world. «Femicide of Agata or The Sound of Magma» tells of Gina Di Dio's daily work as a patrol police officer in Catania. Again, women become victims of men while the festivities in honor of the city's patron saint Agatha are being prepared. Almost two thousand years after the cruel torture and murder of Agatha, the question arises whether her martyrdom should rather be called femicide. When Gina's grandmother learns about the disappearance of a friend's daughter, it no longer seems a coincidence to her that her name is Agata. Patrizia Lo Turco's novels combine suspense with emotional depth and paint a vivid picture of Sicily – shaped by family ties, social contrasts, and the constant presence of the volcano. Participating artists: Anina Döbeli, Larissa Copetti-Campi, Patrizia Lo Turco
