The sensational new stage show offers a deep insight into the thoughts and feelings of the artist and the person behind the glamorous pop icon, honoring the great life's work of the 'Falcon'. In 2026, 'FALCO MEETS AMADEUS' will go on a grand premiere tour through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
"I am only immortal when I am dead!" This dark, prophetic phrase is the theme of the new homage to the greatest genius of German-speaking pop and rap history. 'FALCO MEETS AMADEUS' is a gripping and deeply moving musical journey through the formative stages of the distinctive musician's life – a person who savored life to its limits and went through many highs and lows, up to self-destruction.
Over 60 million records sold, an almost limitless number of sold-out concerts worldwide, and the only German-language song to top the American charts to date made Falco the most successful Austrian musician of all time alongside Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In his number 1 song 'Rock Me Amadeus', he sings about Mozart's popularity, debts, and his relationships with women – parallels that can also be attributed to Falco himself, alongside his 'rock idol'. The song, naturally, cannot be missing in the new version of 'FALCO MEETS AMADEUS'. Besides 'Rock Me Amadeus' and its origins, many other similarities between the two musical geniuses are evident: both were ahead of their time, created their own unique musical style, and shaped the music of their era like no one else; two complex and controversial characters between genius and madness, and two lives led to excess, each ending too early. Falco died at age 40 in a car accident in the Dominican Republic, while Mozart died at a young age of 35 from a fever. Both mainly lived in Vienna and were also buried there. They live on forever in the hearts of their fans, and their musical legacy ultimately made them immortal.
The song selection in this spectacular show experience includes all major Falco hits like 'Der Kommissar', 'Vienna Calling', 'Jeanny', or 'Out of the Dark', as well as early successes like 'Ganz Wien', impressive titles like 'Emotional' or 'Coming Home', some unjustly forgotten songs, and the currently relevant song 'Europa'. The homage brings the 'Falcon' back to the stage and presents all songs live with a five-piece band and outstanding performers. The Passau-based successful producer and promoter Oliver Forster (COFO Entertainment) already showed a good sense for the audience's taste as a tour organizer of musical biographies like 'ELVIS – The Musical', 'all you need is love! – The Beatles Musical', or 'Simply The Best – The Tina Turner Story', filling theaters across German-speaking countries with his own productions over the past years.
