When photographers Gereon Roemer and Martin Buschmann sit together one evening, Martin talks about Sicily. He was born on the island and remembers the trips with the family car well. Since moving to Germany, it has been in his garage. It's called Luigi – an Italian legend, a Fiat 500, built in 1967. Suddenly, they have an idea: "Let's drive with Luigi over the Alps to Sicily! Luigi has to go home!" It quickly becomes clear that this journey will not be easy: can a man who is 1.88 meters tall and weighs 100 kg fit into an old Fiat Cinquecento? Can Luigi handle the steep roads over the Alps? When the three finally set off, they do not yet realize how long the journey will take, because Luigi is a classic car and technical breakdowns are common. But Luigi is also a heartbreaker and repeatedly enables personal contacts with the people in Italy. Join us on this adventurous road trip with a good dose of Dolce Vita and Bella Figura. Experience in this live show the culinary, historical, and scenic highlights of the land of longing, Italy, but also stories about the hardships and moments of happiness of such a journey. Giving up is not an option, because everyone has a common goal: Luigi has to go home!
