Song drama by Erik Gedeon In an old theater stage that has become a senior residence, aging actors sit on worn-out wardrobe furniture. Between dusty props and faded costumes, they revive their great roles – and sometimes it seems as if they themselves are returning to their former characters. Because love, exuberance, and zest for life do not disappear with age. Only the strict sister Angelika disturbs the fragile idyll: With an raised index finger, she reminds her protégés of their frailty and tries to spoil their mood with lectures on illness and death. But as soon as she leaves the room, everything falls apart. Flirting, dancing, and singing ensue: To "I Will Survive," "Sex Bomb," and "Born to Be Wild," the elderly plunge into a fountain of youth and make the stage tremble in "Ewig jung."
