Description

The native Valaisan Estelle Revaz is not only one of the most renowned cellists in the country, she is also a politician. In 2023, she was elected to the National Council in the canton of Geneva. It is known from the federal capital that the 36-year-old musician often practices early in the morning before sessions in the Federal Palace. Furthermore, Estelle Revaz has been a member of the "Forum des 100" since 2015: 100 personalities representing the future of Switzerland. Since 2017, she has also been a lecturer for cello and chamber music at the Kalaidos University of Music in Zurich. At our festival, the gifted musician will perform together with the French pianist Dana Ciocarlie at the grand piano. The two met during a summer festival and formed a friendship that led to a joint concert program, whose debut was broadcast live on France Musique. Further concerts followed in Europe and even China. At our chamber music hall in Vitznau, they present a wonderful mix of works by Carlos Gardel, Astor Piazzola, David Popper, and Claude Debussy. All played extremely virtuously with much poetry and lightness and above all a great pleasure in the chamber music hall Vitznau. Apéro & Late Night in the foyer of the chamber music hall with: MINDECI & GOSSWEILER Sven Angelo Mindeci (accordion) and Peter Gossweiler (double bass) play music that touches heart and soul and notably contains a lot of Italianità! In their program "Giardino del Sud," the two, who have been musical companions and friends for 20 years, take the audience on a journey through the sound worlds of Italy. With passion, they virtuously interpret a wide range of melodies – from traditional folk music to film music to heartfelt canzoni. Mindeci & Gossweiler play from 7:30 p.m. and after the main concert in the foyer of the chamber music hall. A perfect prelude as well as a conclusion.
