Kings, shepherds, princesses, and young lovers vying for their girls – folk songs, ballads, and fairy tales have touched us since childhood. The stories captivate us and make us dream. The Chamber Choir C21 follows the footsteps of Princess Margoton and accompanies her on the enchanting journey full of warm love, broken hearts, cheeky princesses, and clumsy bachelors. Together with the audience, we laugh and mourn, look melancholically at the passing time, and celebrate lively festivals. With "There Was a King in Thule," we invite you to a musical fairy tale evening full of imagination and song. Featuring works by Francis Poulenc, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Robert Schumann.
