FREE ENTRY EPHEMERA and its polyrelationship with video:
A multimedia time travel with the Hamburg Women's Newspaper as a guide, bildwechsel offers journeys into Hamburg's women's/lesbian scenes of the last century: this time with destination tips from the Hamburg Women's Newspaper HFZ (1976 – 1999). We have found matches in the video collection and digitized them.
So you can travel back once again to the activist early days of Hamburg's women's/lesbian scenes – in texts, sounds, and videos. Also included: quick visits to the early history of HIQFF. Expect videos on monitors and individual viewing devices and an installation around the archived issues of the HFZ, with special attention to lesbian contributions and references to art and culture – and as always: encounters and conversations over tea from the samovar.

www.facebook.com/bildwechsel.hamburg bildwechsel has been a umbrella organization for women+/media/culture for over 45 years, collecting, archiving, and showing materials from international female artists and filmmakers. In Hamburg, there is a huge document archive and over 10,000 videos/films with integrated collections of works by trans*, intersex, and queer artists. There is also a video museum for restoration work and digitization technology.

The event includes digitized videos, texts, and sounds, as well as an installation with archived issues of the Hamburg Women's Newspaper.
