Enrico Brignano brings his new program live to Bern and Zurich. After the success of «I 7 Re di Roma», the musical comedy that continues to resonate throughout Italy, Enrico Brignano is back on stage with «Bello di mamma!» as a one-man show. At the heart of «Bello di mamma!» (written by Brignano himself along with artists like Graziano Cutrona, Manuela D’Angelo, Luciano Federico, and Alessio Parenti) is a simple yet powerful idea: In a rapidly changing world full of contradictions and constant demands, we all feel the need to return to that original embrace that gave us a sense of security as children. The starting point is the universal image of childhood: the voice of the mother that dispelled fears, a cup of hot chocolate, cartoons, a blanket that warmed legs and hearts. This «Bello di mamma», who protected or, when necessary, called us to order. From here, Brignano develops a comprehensive reflection on the present: a time where alarming news, ubiquitous technology, and a fast-paced life coexist with a longing for a time when everything seemed clearer. Global challenges—from wars to artificial intelligence, from an inclusion that sometimes divides to the contradictions of ecological change—become comedic material and also a reason for reflection. The true challenge, however, is to find an antidote: to restore emotional balance amidst the chaos. And here, Brignano's most authentic language comes into play: a laughter that can be mocking or benevolent, ironic or melancholic, but always sincere and capable of bringing order to today’s chaos. «Bello di mamma!» is thus a return to the origins of the one-man show and at the same time a step forward in the storytelling art of the actor: a personal story that becomes collective and speaks to the audience through shared emotions, recognizable vulnerability, and a humor that does not shy away from tenderness.
