Emma Smith

Description

The award-winning British jazz singer Emma Smith is considered one of the most impressive voices in the international jazz scene. With her versatile stage experience – from the Royal Albert Hall to the most renowned jazz clubs in the world – she has collaborated with artists such as Michael Bublé, the Quincy Jones Orchestra, Jeff Goldblum, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as jazz greats like Jeremy Pelt and Wayne Escoffery. Emma has earned a reputation as a powerful and expressive artist and has built a loyal, steadily growing international fan base. Last year, her international presence was further strengthened by extensive tours with her trio. She played to sold-out houses in the USA, Europe, and Great Britain. She regularly performs in legendary venues such as Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, Birdland in New York, Blue Note Milano, and Duc des Lombards in Paris, where additional concerts are often scheduled due to high demand. In addition to her solo career, she achieved great success as a member of The Puppini Sisters and was a presenter on BBC Radio 3 for four years. Her current album Bitter Orange, released on the US label La Reserve – of which she is the first British artist – was enthusiastically received by critics and streamed millions of times. It combines modern emotional honesty with a sound deeply rooted in the tradition of past times. Contributors: Emma Smith
