Description
Extreme situations require extreme measures - this is the motto of the lively senior Judith, as she makes her way through a raging snowstorm to the next neighbor, so as not to have to endure the storm alone. Understandably, Patrick, who lives completely withdrawn and avoids any company, is not exactly pleased about the unannounced visit, which, due to the unpredictable weather, threatens to extend for an indefinite period. While the disturbance of peace tries hard to engage her distant counterpart in conversation, her presence increasingly becomes a torment for the reserved loner. Judith cannot appreciate his first-class cooking skills - instead, she prefers to order second-rate pizza at Patrick's expense. She wants to drink his expensive wine straight from the bottle (she doesn't taste the nuances anyway), and to top it all off, this fool also demands ice cubes and lemon for the Cabernet Sauvignon! With soaking wet boots and intrusive questions, Judith literally brings the chaotic outside world into Patrick's previously so orderly home - but also leaves deep traces of compassion and comfort. The author Peter Quilter explores the fine differences between being alone and loneliness, between community and meanness, between character traits and eccentricity in his play "Eingeschneit", demonstrating both empathy and wit. With TV stars Mona Seefried and Peter E. Funck, this piece could not be better cast!
