Description
Play by Bodo Kirchhoff based on the production by Detlef Altenbeck
Lead role: Ilja Richter Description
The announcer is back - after 30 years, Ilja Richter is once again performing the beloved soul striptease! Three decades after the frenetically celebrated world premiere at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, Ilja Richter is back in his signature role as "The Announcer of a Striptease Number..." on stage. And this announcer of the highly anticipated artist named Andrea (who will never appear on stage) truly "strips" himself. Imagine: you see a man on stage who is actually "only" the opening act. He is supposed to introduce, prepare the esteemed audience for a top-class striptease performance. And he does. As an announcer, he praises the multifaceted arts of Andreas in the highest tones. But she does not come. No matter how much the man twists and turns, the lady of the evening keeps waiting. Gradually, the opening act turns into the main act, and much is revealed about this person standing on stage and trying with all means not to lose his audience. Many clever and some double-meaning wise sayings are spoken, such as: "Nudity is the most opaque of all clothes." Armed only with a wooden chair, Ilja Richter challenges the audience, seasoned with all the waters of acting. He flirts, fantasizes, reveals secrets and backgrounds of his character, making the viewers desperately look into the depths of the man and revealing almost everything one needs to know about life and the game on stage.
