The Alpine Symphony, with its superlative instrumentation, is one of those works that all aspiring musicians dream of. Due to the immense effort involved, it is rarely performed in concert halls. For young professionals from over 20 nations, this late Romantic masterpiece marks the highlight of their training. The program is complemented by a solo concert with a prizewinner of the internal university competition and a third work. Sebastian Tewinkel, professor of orchestral conducting at the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen and charismatic conductor of the symphony orchestra, shapes these young talents into an ensemble regarded as a creative motor in the region between the Black Forest and Lake Constance.
