The man – a victim? It is still mainly men who exercise power and shape social structures. But behind this dominance, a contradictory reality emerges: men who withdraw, remain silent, or stay emotionally unreachable – in relationships, families, and towards themselves. Starting from the loss of her brother, Sophia Fritz embarks on a compelling search for answers. She asks how masculinity is formed today and why it is so often associated with pain – for men themselves and their environment. Following "Toxische Weiblichkeit" (Toxic Femininity), she presents a wise and empathetic analysis of patriarchal masculinity with "Der Mann, das Opfer" (ET October 6, 2026) – and at the same time opens up a perspective on a freer, more vulnerable understanding of what it can mean to be a man today.
