Description

Time is one of the foundations of cinema. Like music, the seventh art shapes duration to evoke emotion. The meeting between time, music, and cinema is therefore no coincidence: it is an artistic certainty. Composed and performed by Shirley Hofmann and Jean-Maurice Rossel, the cine-concert "Listen and See... Time" revives this original alliance live. Led by a rich array of instruments, the duo sets to music sequences filmed by eight Neuchâtel filmmakers who received a blank check to explore the theme of time: Zoée Bijotat, Guillaume Brandt, Orane Burri, Samuel Chalard, Camille de Pietro, Robin Érard, Perihan Incegöz, and Marie-Elsa Sgualdo.
