EALA invites to the SYMPOSION.
In the original sense of the word, the Symposion is a shared drinking and thinking session. At Plato's
sitting men at the table and talking about love and the good life. The wisest female voice of
the evening belongs to Diotima. But she is not sitting at the table. Socrates speaks for her.
Two and a half thousand years later, EALA turns the seating arrangement around.
The SYMPOSION tour in March 2027 brings the female voice to the table – and gives her the
microphone. The name is program: people come together. There is music, conversation,
drinking, arguing, and dancing. Here too, it is about excess. But not about intoxication as an end in itself. It
is about what comes up in intoxication.
EALA makes music about contradictions. About the beautiful in the ugly and the ugly in the beautiful.
About love, when it hurts. About fear of the future, even when people are actually dancing. About what
we have learned from our parents and mistakenly thought was our own voice.
Her songs take these things seriously. Not always herself.
Love and power. Feminism. Family, generational trauma. Desire. Shame. Future. The old
questions in a new wave.
EALA offers no answers.
She puts them into the room, brings them into the light of the stage... and the concert becomes a symposion. Music,
conversation, staging, and audience are interconnected. Positions may clash.
Contradictions may remain. One may question. One may change one's opinion.
And one may dance to it.
This simultaneity has accompanied EALA from the beginning. In the four-part live series "Leergut Sessions",
she brought together twelve musicians and early on showed that her songs are conceived larger than the classic
singer-songwriter framework.
With her great live band, she played support shows for acts like RIAN, Ok. Danke. Tschüss, Marlo
Grosshardt, and TIAVO, as well as numerous festival appearances and her first tour. Encounters on
and behind the stage have now also led to musical collaborations: together with Marlo
Grosshardt, EALA released the single "Kleinstadtpropaganda" in 2026. A feature with TIAVO has also emerged. The collaborations show where EALA finds her place within the current German-speaking
music landscape: between alternative pop, rock, and a new generation of artists who do not confuse attitude with humorlessness. Already in 2022, EALA was awarded at the "Treffen junge Musikszene" of the Berlin Festival and selected for
the Popkurs at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. In July 2024, she
won the Panikpreis of the Udo-Lindenberg-Stiftung together with her band.
In November 2026, her debut album "manchmal. oft. immer" will finally be released. The first half
"Manchmal. Oft." has already been published and offers a preview of an album that EALA's
contradictions do not resolve but rather live out consistently.
