Description

Lindsay Buffington and Céline Gay des Combes met at the Conservatoire de Lausanne. The duo was founded in 2008. Both harpists studied in Professor Chantal Mathieu's class. After both received their diplomas, they decided to form a harp duo. Their shared passion for chamber music, musical and personal affinities motivated them to establish the harp duo. The two harps will merge through their special interplay, sounding as if only one harp is playing. For Lindsay and Céline, the harp duo «Deux en Harpe» also represents a bridge between the USA and Switzerland. At the same time, it is a nod to the classical setting of two harps in symphony orchestras.
