Description

Puppet theater with live music based on Graham Greene. The evening gatherings of the eccentric Swiss billionaire Dr. Fischer are legendary. While guests must endure the inhumane jokes and macabre party games of the host, they are rewarded with platinum watches and million-dollar checks hidden in colorful confetti. Fischer's daughter Anna has fallen out with her father. She considers the guests to be "creeping creatures" and avoids the decadent parental home. But when she falls in love and wants to marry, her fiancé insists on informing her father about their future plans out of courtesy. The British author Graham Greene combines in his 1980 novel a tense, satirical parable about human greed with a touching love story. Dr. Fischer aus Genf oder Die Bomben-Party, featuring actor and director Sebastian Kautz and musician and composer Gero John, is conceived as a tour production and was co-produced with Altonaer Theater and Theater Duisburg.
