The cult band Dr. Feelgood is and remains a phenomenon. Anyone who experiences the band live today inevitably comes into contact with their raw, uncompromising live energy, which in the seventies made them one of the most famous and exciting live bands of the emerging British pub rock scene worldwide. "Sharp as a razor R'n'B" is how Classic Rock Magazine describes their style developed at the time, which combines the soul of black music, especially blues, with the rawness of the emerging punk movement. Founded in 1970 on Canvey Island, Essex, Dr. Feelgood reached fans of all kinds with their album "Stupidity" after their No.1 success in the UK charts. Further successes followed with singles like Roxette, Back in the Night, Milk and Alcohol, Down at the Doctors. Their version of See You Later Alligator even received Gold status! With Kevin Morris on drums, Phil Mitchell on bass, and Gordon Russell on guitar, musicians from the last lineup have been on stage since 1983 with original singer Lee Brilleaux. He passed away in 1994 and has been replaced since 1999 by Robert Kane (formerly of The Animals). Even though Dr. Feelgood continues to release albums, most recently "Live in Caen" (2024) and "Damn Right!" (2022), their unmistakable trademark remains their captivating live show! You can still feel the energy with which the band once tore through music clubs around the world.
