Yael Inokai stages a crime story with The Oyster that contains a finely woven net of human fates. Yael Inokai, born in 1989, lives in Berlin. Her second novel, Mahlstrom, was awarded the Swiss Literature Prize in 2018. For her novel A Simple Intervention, she received the Anna Seghers Prize in 2022 and the Clemens Brentano Prize in 2023.
