This event presents the world premiere of Jean-François Michel's choral suite 'Die Zürcher Petitionärinnen 1868,' exploring the story of Zurich women petitioning for social and political rights in 1868. The performance includes over 50 female singers, with performances by clarinetist Marcel Lüscher, accordionist Sven Angelo Mindeci, and narrator Liliana Heimberg, under the direction of Franziska Welti. The program also features speeches by Zurich's first female city president, Corine Mauch, and historical talks by Elisabeth Joris and Monika Dommann.
