The Wilderness at Home - Nature Photography in the Alps

Description

Explora Live Show by Levi Fitze Since childhood, Levi Fitze has loved being in nature the most. Today he is 22, his photographic art is internationally known and awarded. Somewhere in the mountains, he waits for weeks for the right moment to capture lynxes, wolves, ermines, and capercaillies. This way, he learns to understand the animals. Observing golden eagles hunting or photographing an ibex under the Milky Way are the greatest gifts of life for him. Levi Fitze takes his audience into the Swiss Alps. Here, there are large temperature differences, difficult terrain, and little food. These exact conditions make the animals highly specialized survival artists perfectly adapted to the harsh conditions. They develop various strategies, such as changing fur color or retreating for hibernation. As a photographer, Levi Fitze captures this native wildlife and their habitats in artistic images. The stories and adventures behind them are often surprisingly elaborate and only succeed after many failed attempts. Everything depends on understanding nature and the behavior of wild animals. Levi Fitze's live lecture, awarded the prize for "Best Photography" at the Discovery Days, also tells of his beginnings as a boy with a camera and a dream. And how this grew into a life centered around nature photography, with the goal of inspiring people to appreciate the beauty of our wilderness worth protecting right on our doorstep.
