A chamber play between discipline and friendship A girls' boarding school in Appenzell in the 60s. Obedience and strict rituals shape everyday life; dormitories, meals, and walks form the close-knit community. Then the new girl appears: Frédérique. She is beautiful, strict, unreachable, surrounded by something quiet and threatening. The protagonist is captivated, seeking closeness and recognition. Susceptible to the morbid allure of discipline, she increasingly falls for it. When Frédérique suddenly disappears, she leaves a void that overshadows everything else. After the successful adaptation of Fritz Zorn's 'Mars', Anne Haug turns again to a Swiss story. She tells of power and desire, obedience and resistance, and of a youth that still echoes today like a ghost.
