At Winterstein School, every child has a magical animal. Ida's animal is Rabbat, a clever fox. All of this is strictly secret. Then Ida's best friend Miriam visits. They used to tell each other everything. Now there's Rabbat – and the vow. At the same time, Miss Cornfield's class is studying Robin Hood.
Helene and Anna-Lena both want the lead role. And someone is digging holes at night. Everywhere.
If this continues, the auditorium must be closed – and the premiere too. Two problems. A vow that wobbles. And a schoolyard that looks like Swiss cheese. The world of magical animals
Since 2013, Margit Auer has been writing the series: 16 volumes, 4 movies, millions of copies.
The idea immediately raises the question for every child that the story also answers: Which animal would I get? The pedagogical line is unobtrusive: Every child is right, just as they are. The animal fits the child, not the other way around. Why real children are on stage
