World-ending comedy by Maria Lazar The world just before the next world war. The League of Nations hopelessly divided. "Help us, God!" advertises a newspaper ad. It sends Peter. Can he save the world? An absurd drama of the 1930s. It is the 760,839,000th anniversary of the creation of the world. But God no longer wants to know about humans. Because they argue nonstop. Then a newspaper ad from the League of Nations appears, seeking a new dear God. Displeased, God sends Peter with two angels to Geneva. But even divine envoys find it difficult – without authority, without a valid passport. A colorful game of confusion begins. The long-forgotten and repressed Viennese writer Maria Lazar (1895-1948) wrote Hell on Earth in the 1930s. The piece, rediscovered in 2022, was premiered again in September 2024. With this world-ending comedy, today we are left with a lump in our throats. Introduction at 7 p.m.
