This is the premise for the play "The Twelve Angry Men" (Twelve Angry Men) by Reginald Rose from 1954, famous for the 1957 film adaptation with Henry Fonda.
The twelve do their job but actually all want to go home and close the case as quickly as possible. However, one of the jurors has concerns. One might think that this play has had its tent, but against the backdrop of current social and geopolitical developments, it becomes clear that topics such as racism, prejudice, and dealing with minorities play a central role alongside communication. Are people still talking to each other today, and if so, on what level, and is there genuine listening? How quick are we to make hasty judgments and stereotypes? Do arguments still have an effect today, or is the search for truth guided by what is easier to believe and/or do I follow the opinion that is voiced the loudest? "Still a relevant classic"
