Description

«Der Wanderfalke» by J. A. Baker meets in this production a musical form that is both precise and sensual: Frank Heuel and Daniel Ott condense the early masterpiece of Nature Writing into a format between reading and music theater, where the art of language and percussion become a shared sound space.
In a magical mix of poetry and precision, the text tells the story of an obsession. For many months, the author follows a peregrine falcon day by day in the southeast of England, driven by the desire to uncover the secret of its grace. Gradually, he becomes a falcon-like hunter himself, able to interpret the signs of the landscape.
Following the tension and rhythm of the text, Bettina Marugg and Caroline Scholz Ott bring it to life together with percussionists Vera Seedorf and Arturo Portugal. Contributors and additional information:
