When the grand grandfather clock in the living room strikes midnight, dream and reality blur: together with the animated Nutcracker and the toy soldiers led by him, Marie bravely fights the grumpy Mouse King. When he is defeated, the Nutcracker transforms into a handsome prince who takes Marie into the magical winter forest, where they finally dance the flower waltz together in the gingerbread castle.
