Description
What makes a true knight? Courage? A sword? Slaying dragons, rescuing princesses, and of course – a proper suit of armor? Or is it enough to be an only child with a big imagination who prefers dreaming of adventures to sitting quietly in school? Artus is one of those. And he is about to be crowned king – at least in his imagination. But suddenly, Arthur appears. Half-brother. French-speaking. Also an aspiring knight. And: completely unplanned. "My name is Artus and I want to be a knight," says one. "Moi aussi. Mais j’veux pas de demi-frère," replies the other. Two languages, two worlds – and a common goal. So the two set off – reluctantly side by side, with school backpacks, toy swords, and far too small scooters. They encounter a dragon that wants to dance, a princess who does not behave like a princess at all, and plenty of misunderstandings. "You’d rather be eaten than dance?" asks Artus. "Danser avec le dragon? T’es fou?" shouts Arthur. A humorous and poetic story in German and French about friendship, jealousy, growing up – and the art of finding a common language. Theater BAden ALsace tells a modern knight's tale – wild, playful, and bilingual. Because: "A knight stands by his horse – even if it’s a stuffed animal!"
