Deep underground, in the Rübeländer dripstone cave. Where it is dark and secrets dwell, someone is waiting. Not just a frog. Not just a bewitched prince. But a secret. When the princess loses her golden ball, a strange frog suddenly appears. He helps her – but he doesn't want gold and gemstones, but something much more valuable: he wants to be her friend. The frog is too slimy, loud, and not at all what she imagined a friend to be. But the more she meets him, the more she discovers that behind his green skin lies something she never expected. Join us on an adventurous journey deep into the heart of the Harz Mountains and find answers to questions like: Does everything have to be perfect? What happens when we meet someone who is very different from us? And can the things that seem strange at first be something very special? In the unique atmosphere of the Baumannshöhle, the story of the Frog King becomes an adventure for the whole family – full of secrets, courage, and friendship. Notes on the event: Free seating for the performance. Only cash payment is possible at the theater box office. The Baumannshöhle maintains a constant temperature of 8-9°C. Please bring warm clothing and/or seat cushions for the performance. The Goethe Hall of the Baumannshöhle is accessible via several stairs – not barrier-free!
