Even among Sardinian fans, it is a secret tip: the Nobel laureate in Literature from 1926 (Luigi Pirandello is said to have been furious...) Grazia Deledda (1871 - 1936), who not only paid literary tribute to her Sardinian homeland around Nuoro but also continues to impress today with sensitive portraits of people, captivating landscapes, and strong women. In art, creating moods with few words, Grazia Deledda is unmatched. The Swiss actress Charlotte Schwab, known for countless television roles, has worked on all major stages of German-speaking theater. We are especially pleased that she is finally visiting us again to bring us the prose of one of the most important authors of Italian Naturalism. There will also be sounds and songs directly from Sardinia: the Swiss music legend, chansonnière, and passionate musician Dodo Hug will perform with her Sardinian life and stage partner, guitarist and singer Efisio Contini, music from their beautiful double album “Castiadas – Sardinian Songs Then and Now,” with the multi-instrumentalist Michele Siciliano. “Castiadas means: views, perhaps those of fellow villagers and compatriots when a stranger passed by. Castiadas also means the village where I spent my early childhood and part of my youth. Castiadas is the starting point of a narrated Sardinian journey...” writes Efisio Contini.
