Description

As part of the Geneva Competition Semi-finals for orchestra conducting, six candidates will conduct the Ensemble Contrechamps in major works from its repertoire. An opportunity for our audience to appreciate different interpretations under the baton of the semi-finalists, an exciting exercise for our holders. Each candidate will conduct the Kammerkonzert by György Ligeti as the imposed work of the competition, as well as one of the two works of their choice, for 45 minutes. PROGRAMME 2 sessions: 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM György Ligeti Kammerkonzert (1969-1970) for thirteen instruments Unsuk Chin Gougalon (2009) street theatre scenes, for ensemble Rebecca Saunders Scar (2019) for fifteen soloists and conductor
