Description

"Dark Americana, howling alternative country, dirty blues, and folk soaked in the dust of the country road – "Rock Noir" is what Deathrope calls their musical synthesis of these genres, which could come straight from the soundtrack of a road movie. The quartet's influences include film music from the Italian-American spaghetti Westerns of the 60s, as well as contemporary artists like Nick Cave, Wovenhand, or Helldorado. Their songs tell of lepers, ruffians, and bandits, of revenge and departure, outlaws with sand on their boots and blood on their fingers. They describe their work as a "road movie for the ears," an experience for dreamers, travelers, freedom lovers, and adventurers."
