De Staat

Description

De Staat plays at Komplex Klub in Zurich. De Staat has established a reputation as one of the most innovative and boldest live acts in Europe. With six studio albums and numerous live performances under their belt, the band has continually pushed the boundaries of what a rock band can be. From the captivating slogans in "Witch Doctor" to the razor-sharp comments in "KITTY KITTY," De Staat has long been engaged with themes such as demagoguery and mass manipulation. De Staat has performed at major festivals like SXSW, Glastonbury, Lowlands, Sziget, Boomtown, Rock for People, Pukkelpop, Rock Werchter, and Deichbrand — sometimes even as headliners — and has toured with bands like The Rolling Stones, Muse, and Biffy Clyro. Their music — ranging from industrial grooves to heavy riffs and experimental electronic to pop sensibility — has been awarded multiple times. After two years of silence, De Staat returns with a long-awaited seventh self-titled album, an art installation, and a live show, celebrating nearly 25 years of redefining the boundaries of the art-rock landscape. Their latest work addresses the dystopian fears of today more than ever, where power, populism, and control clash, and the line between reality and fiction gradually blurs. De Staat will tour across Europe and Great Britain in fall 2026. Participants: De Staat
