The Austrian pianist and composer David Helbock (*1984) is one of Europe's established jazz pianists. He began his musical education at the age of six. He is the winner of the world's largest solo piano competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival and in 2011 he was awarded Austria's most important sponsorship award - the "Outstanding Artist Award." With over 25 albums and more than 300 original compositions to his name, Helbock is celebrated for his innovative blend of jazz, classical, and contemporary influences.
