I listen – a year of silence A year ago, the Stuttgart artist Daniel Beerstecher traveled around 3,000 km through Germany and remained silent during this time. Instead of speaking himself, he dedicated himself entirely to the power of listening and attentively listened to the people in the south, north, east, and west of the country. The opening of the art trail "Werner Pokorny in Dialogue" in July 2025 in Ettlingen marked the beginning. For four weeks, the former student of Werner Pokorny stayed in a Tiny House in Horbachpark and did not speak a single word. Instead, he listened carefully to the people who came to him. Afterwards, he set out on a hike across the country. Punctually at the summer solstice 2026, he returned to Stuttgart and is now coming to Ettlingen to share his experiences: Who did he meet on his journey? What did the people tell him? What do you experience when you can only communicate with pen and paper? A cooperation with the Museum Ettlingen
