Franz and Gustavo, selected by an anthropologist as emblematic representatives of Homo Sapiens from the North and South, illustrate the Great Notebook of the History of Humanity. This gives rise to a sparkling comic and burlesque reflection on our daily behaviors; an ironic and frantic ride through geological eras and evolutionary stages up to the peak — or perhaps the decline — of Homo Sapiens. Leveraging the peculiarities and versatility of the two performers, this show brings forth the codes of a theatricality and dramaturgy where the actor's body is placed in the foreground. Physical presence, bodily adherence to the text, the relationship between the animated and the inanimate, and delicacy in addressing life and death contribute to the scenic writing of this work that runs, not without hiccups, along the timeline. The scientific and burlesque connection with anthropology, existentialism, and dadaism allows the two protagonists of this piece to explore human nature armed with great stupidity, understood in its original sense of wonder, astonishment, and amazement.
Enrico Ferretti
Actor, researcher, and teacher active in the artistic and pedagogical field. He trained artistically at the Jacques Lecoq theater school in Paris, where he met Pierre Byland, with whom he began an intense artistic collaboration. He is a co-founder of the Compagnia Teatrodanza Tiziana Arnaboldi, with which he participates as an actor, co-author, or artistic collaborator in about twenty shows, represented in many European cities.
Gerardo Mele
Dancer, actor, and teacher. He collaborates with the company Les fusains directed by Pierre Byland, of whom he is an assistant and co-author in "Solo Sei" (2002), "Cadavre Exquis" (2007), and "Masterklass" (2011). A dancer since 1976, he has worked with various companies and since 1990 practices "sensitive dance," thus beginning a personal research path: “the sensitive body” which he has been teaching since 1998. Since 2013, he has been holding intensive workshops on "sensitive clowning."
