DADA Remix

Description

What really sounded at the Zurich Dada soirées? "DADA-Remix" looks at the contradictions of a movement whose radical texts were often louder than their surprisingly tame music. Rediscovered piano works by Hans Heusser meet new compositions by Ilona Perger, Jalalu-Kalvert Nelson, and Friedemann Treiber.
The concert asks what remains of Dada today: damaged language, displaced voices, colonial appropriation, forgotten music, and the possibility of making history sound different. Without reverence, but with curiosity, a music emerges that the Dadaists perhaps wished for but never quite dared to create. Participants and additional information:
