Description

The Karlsruher saxophonist and bandleader Christian Steuber opens big doors with his new big band project and unites the who's who of the southern German big band scene into an astonishingly young, skilled, and exuberant formation. Many of the band members have met Steuber in the youth jazz orchestras of Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg or the Federal Jazz Orchestra as saxophonists or lecturers. Quickly, the shared passion became the engine for the project, which on one hand celebrates the tradition of large big bands, but on the other hand also feels committed to more modern currents.
