This annual series of art history courses at Musée Jenisch Vevey, led by Frédéric Elkaïm, examines how landscape has transformed from a minor genre to a central theme in modern and contemporary art. The courses, held on Thursday evenings, are designed to deepen understanding of the genre's role in artistic innovation, from Japonisme and Symbolism to Abstract and Land Art. Each session is linked to current museum exhibitions, including the recently unveiled collection Planque, enriching the discussion with visual insights and contextual analysis.
