CORNAMUSA has been one of the few European show productions for over a decade that combines Scottish and Irish traditions on a single stage. The show blends Scottish bagpipe music, heartfelt ballads, Celtic melodies, Irish singing, and lively Irish Dance into a unique live experience. With the new production "The Whispering Stones," CORNAMUSA takes its audience on an emotional journey through the history and traditions of Scotland and Ireland. A mysterious Celtic stone, carrying the voices of past generations, leads to a time when people preserved their music, dances, and cultural identity despite all resistance. A seven-member live band and a top-tier dance ensemble bring this story to life. The musicians not only accompany the action with their instruments but also take on various roles themselves, becoming part of the story alongside the dancers. Heartfelt ballads, traditional melodies, and polyphonic singing merge with the pulsating rhythm of drums and the energy of Irish Dance into a magical overall experience that celebrates the soul and vibrant spirit of Ireland and Scotland. International top artists ensure outstanding dance performances. The ensemble is led by three-time European champion Gyula Glaser, who has performed on international stages, including Off-Broadway in New York. Alongside him is Nicole Ohnesorge, an award-winning solo dancer in various show productions worldwide, who shone with an outstanding 3rd place at the World Championship. Both stand for Irish Dance at the highest level and have been delighting CORNAMUSA audiences for many years. Large-scale video projections, impressive visual worlds, and live moderations guide through the story, blending music, dance, and history into a lively production. Live images of the artists on the screen allow even visitors in the back rows to experience the performances up close. For years, CORNAMUSA has been inspiring visitors in Germany and many European countries, regularly celebrated with long applause and standing ovations. When the curtain rises and the new stage set shines in the light, when the crystal-clear sound of singing, step dance, and a variety of instruments meet, and every single step shoe is equipped with a microphone, creating an unmistakable sound experience, then you know: CORNAMUSA is back on tour.
