The talk by literary historian and poet Jakub Chrobák with Slovakist and translator Mirek Zelinský will not cover the history of Slovak literature or the history of translation from this closely related language. We will introduce the latest works that have appeared in Czech translations, representing contemporary Slovak prose and poetry, which are primarily engaging and intelligent. Get a book from the author! We will draw one visitor on-site. Supported as part of the Literary Vsetín 2026 project.
