Description
The silvery and warm sound of string instruments with gut strings, the exciting articulation with the baroque bow, the touching tone of traverso flutes and baroque oboes - why isn't this wonderful world of baroque music available for young people yet? These questions led to the founding of the Bavarian Youth Baroque Orchestra (BayJuBa) in February 2015, which was then the first youth orchestra on historical baroque instruments in Germany. Since then, young people have been introduced to historical performance practice in BayJuBa and experience baroque music as a sound speech, as an artistically shaped expression of their feelings, and as communication with others in the orchestra and with the audience.
