Composer Jazz Orchestra

Description

The Composer Jazz Orchestra, founded in 2024 on the initiative of Jonathan Salvi, will release its second album in 2026, focusing on the music of trombonist Victor Decamp. The Composer Jazz Orchestra breathes like a living organism: eleven cells, connected by the same breath, united in pulsation and vibration. Each musician is an independent voice, yet together they form a multi-cellular, mobile, and adaptable being that continuously recreates itself through compositions and moments of improvisation. From this living material emerges a contemporary jazz, nourished by modern harmonies and organic grooves. The music of Victor Decamp flows like a life energy from one cell to another, creating soundscapes that can be luminous or profound. It is an expanding sound body that reinvents its own language with every beat and resonance. Students of ZHdK enjoy free entry upon presenting an ID.
