Have you always wanted to experience the technique used to draw comics? In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to work with a brush pen, bring characters to life through line work and dynamics, and tell a story without words. You are free to experiment and will receive valuable insights and practical tips from a professional comic artist's everyday work. No prior knowledge is required. Come by, try it out, and get creative!

A part of the workshop involves comic snippets: from existing images, you create new combinations and invent a completely different storyline. The arrangement of the images determines the pace, tension, and course of the story. By using facial expressions and gestures deliberately, you give your characters expression, emotion, and mood, all without words.

The workshop is led by Pirmin Beeler, comic artist and illustrator from Zug.
