No slam, no elimination night, no ranking - but a show between stand-up, spoken word, storytelling, and poetic condensation. "Freche Möwe" was founded in May 2024 by Phil Stadelmann in Hamburg. The idea is as clear as it is charming: good, authentic, and honest live comedy - with newcomers from a Hamburg scene that has developed into one of the most important places for tomorrow's comedians in recent years. The focus is not only on the artists but also on the audience, which is part of the self-understanding of the format: an evening should not only work but also feel good. For the Harbour Front Festival, this approach is expanded by the power of spoken word. The performing artists play with language, tell stories, shape thoughts, condense observations, and switch between comedy and seriousness, closeness and surprise, laughter and reflection. Sometimes loud and sharp, sometimes quiet and poetic - but always live, direct, and close to the audience. Three dates, one place, three evenings with their own voices and moments: in the Rathauspassage, the festival center of the Harbour Front Literature Festival, Comedy meets Poetry shows how much present can be in spoken language.
