Comeback marks the return of Eugénie Rebetez as a solo performer on stage and shows the native Jura woman more mature and daring than ever. The extraordinary dancer and versatile comedian skillfully oscillates in her new solo piece between poetry and comedy, sensitivity and rock ’n’ roll. On one hand, she creates a playfully exuberant character, on the other hand, she constantly returns to herself. A game of ambivalence begins: she wants everything but cannot endure the abundance; she holds on to her values and suddenly lets them go; she longs for the carefree days of her youth but takes on more and more responsibility. It is a game where searching and experimenting move forward. For this new piece, Eugénie Rebetez composes a score of sung and danced stories drawn from her own life. Comeback is a spectacular one-woman show that hits both quiet and loud tones and is dedicated with a sharp, witty look to the hope that is in every return. Duration — 60 minutes, no intermission
