Chuck Prophet is a Californian luminary of Americana, Roots-Rock, & Alternative Country. His series of over a dozen critically acclaimed solo albums dates back to 1990, when he shifted focus from his time with the pioneering Neo-Psych band "Green on Red" to working under his own name. Since then, his songs have been featured in numerous films and TV shows, and his works have been covered by Bruce Springsteen, Solomon Burke, Heart, and many others. Rolling Stone described him as a "street-smart city kid with a knack for rural life," while Uncut called him a "Renaissance rocker," and NPR noted that "no one can turn stories from the margins into catchy songs like Prophet." His latest album "Wake The Dead" topped the US Americana charts for two weeks and was followed by his biggest European tour to date with over sixteen sold-out concerts. Now Chuck Prophet returns to Europe with a reduced trio lineup to delve deep into his repertoire. A writer and an independent correspondent, a wandering reporter, but more like a TV version from the 70s, Hunter S. Thompson, only with fewer weapons and LSD.
