MOKKA Cover Night - Jimi Hendrix Tribute by Asep Stone Experience Asep Stone was born in 1968 in Bandung, Indonesia. As a child, he spent up to 18 hours a day teaching himself to play guitar. His first performance at the 'Gladiator Rocks Festival' in Bandung was at the age of sixteen in front of 20,000 spectators. At eighteen, he sought the challenge of the wider world and booked a one-way ticket to England – with just a guitar, a small amplifier, and a few clothes in his luggage. With his own band 'Stone Free', he toured the kingdom and was invited in 2001 to perform alongside the original Hendrix bassist Noel Redding at a Jimi Hendrix auction. The concert was broadcast live on BBC. After the concert, Redding referred to Asep as 'the closest thing to Hendrix'. In 2007, he moved to Zurich, from where he now plays concerts around the world with the 'Asep Stone Experience Show' and his own music.
