Guided tours of the representative interiors in a Christmas spirit. Let's remember together the Christmas and New Year period at the manor house in the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. During the tour, visitors will compare Advent life today and in the times when the count's family lived in the castle. The Christmas season at Vranov nad Dyjí Castle will offer visitors tours during which you will glimpse interesting festive traditions and the beautifully decorated castle. Tours will take place on December 12–13, 19–20, 26–27, and 31, 2026. The duration of the tour is 45 minutes. In addition to guided tours of the representative interiors, visitors can enjoy refreshments such as mulled wine, grog, coffee, punch, and other delicious treats in the castle café. But that's not all – there will also be a wine tasting from the family winery Seidl from Tasovice. What can you look forward to during the guided tours? Advent is slowly approaching. The staff has one task – to prepare the castle for Christmas. What does that entail? The nobility is used to a richly decorated tree reaching to the heavens, tables with practical gifts for children and delightful treats for adults, and a beautifully set and decorated castle dining room. As part of the Christmas atmosphere, we will recall the Christmas traditions observed by the staff and ordinary people throughout the entire tour. And what comes after Christmas? Before heading to nearby Vienna, the nobility awaits a peaceful time spent with family and friends and the celebration of the New Year. And there's no time to wait; as soon as the New Year begins, we pack our bags and head for social life in the Habsburg metropolis. What awaits you during your visit to Vranov Castle? Christmas-decorated representative interiors, including the Ancestors' Hall. A festively set dining room and the symbol of Christmas – a decorated tree with gifts. We will reveal to you what the first ornaments placed on the tree were, what was served for Christmas Eve dinner, and other interesting things related to these most beautiful holidays of the year. Weather permitting, the southern and northern terraces will be open with a view of the (hopefully) snow-covered surrounding landscape. If the Christmas decorations haven't yet enticed you to visit, we are not done. During the Christmas season, you will also see furniture and items specially brought out for this occasion from the castle's depositories. You will have a unique opportunity to walk through the Christmas decorations with a guide who will not only remind you of Christmas traditions and their history but also the fresco decoration of the Ancestors' Hall. Christmas tours will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The ticket office and castle grounds will be open from 9:45 AM. You will have a unique opportunity to walk through the Christmas decorations only with a guide. Tickets are traditionally available at the ticket office or you can PURCHASE THEM ONLINE. A surprise for little ones... ... children will receive a themed Christmas tour worksheet at the beginning. After the tour or later at home, they will have the opportunity to solve it independently. All the necessary clues for successful completion will be provided by the guide. It will depend only on the children themselves how they practice their memory, process the information they have gained, or seek advice. Admission for the Christmas tours:
